The whole batch turns on FCR
Slide the FCR from 1.75 to 2.0 and watch the profit fall. FarmBind tracks your real feed conversion and average daily gain every day, and benchmarks it against Ross 308 — so you catch a slipping batch early.

- How do I work out profit on a broiler batch?
- Profit = sale revenue − chick cost − feed cost − other costs. Revenue is birds sold × live weight × price per kg. Feed cost is roughly the live weight produced × your FCR × feed price. This calculator does it live as you type your own numbers.
- Why does FCR matter so much for broilers?
- Feed is 60–70% of a broiler's cost. A feed conversion ratio of 1.75 versus 2.0 changes how much feed you buy to reach the same weight — often the difference between a profitable and a losing batch. Try moving the FCR slider to see the effect.
Estimates for guidance only, based on the figures you enter. Feed is approximated as live weight produced × FCR; real results vary with breed, management, season and market prices.
